Blink Pay Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website located at https://thankyoublink.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal information you provide when visiting the Site or joining our waitlist.

This policy is written in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), which governs how private-sector organisations in BC collect, use, and disclose personal information.

By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Because the Site is a marketing and waitlist page, we collect a minimal amount of personal information:

• Waitlist email address: When you sign up for our waitlist, we collect your email address. This is the primary personal information we hold.
• Basic usage data: If we add analytics in the future, we may collect anonymised information such as pages visited, time on site, and referral source. We will update this policy before doing so and obtain any required consents.
• Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence.

We do not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we do not use any third-party analytics tools.

Under PIPA, we are required to identify the specific purposes for which personal information is collected at or before the time of collection. We collect information for the following purposes only:

• To add you to our waitlist and notify you when the Blink browser extension launches
• To send you occasional product updates or launch announcements, if you have opted in
• To respond to enquiries or support requests you send us

We will not use your information for any other purpose without obtaining your consent first.

By submitting your email address on our waitlist form, you are providing your express consent to receive communications about our product launch and related updates. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8).

We do not rely on implied consent for any marketing communications.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Resend (resend.com) to manage our waitlist and send communications. This provider acts on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by Canadian law, a court order, or regulatory authority.
• Business transfers: If we amalgamate, are acquired, or transfer our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you beforehand.

Any third-party service providers we use must provide a comparable level of privacy protection consistent with PIPA.

Waitlist email addresses are stored and processed in the United States by Resend (resend.com), a US-based transactional email platform we use to manage our waitlist. By providing your email address, you acknowledge and consent to your personal information being transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in Canada. Resend processes this data solely on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose. We retain your email address and any associated information for as long as you remain on our waitlist. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Under PIPA, you have the right to:

• Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
• Unsubscribe: Opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
• Complaint: File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC (OIPC) at oipc.bc.ca if you believe we have not handled your information in accordance with PIPA. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at priv.gc.ca for matters under federal jurisdiction.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure hosting.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If we become aware of a security breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the OIPC as required by PIPA.

The Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at hello@thankyoublink.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Site or practices change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will send a notification email to waitlist members.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
